How To Tame Unruly Eyebrows
Figuring out how to tame unruly eyebrows is no joke. Those things can be wild. And of course you can go get your brows done, but I prefer taking care of my own bushy brows at home. For one, it’s cheaper, and two, if someone is going to mess up my eyebrows, I want it to be me.
Tweeze Coarse Spiky Eyebrows
If you’re reading this, you know how important it is to tweeze coarse spiky eyebrows. For years the only thing I did to fix eyebrow hair growing in the wrong direction was tweeze stray eyebrow hairs. But even if you get your brows waxed, threaded, etc., tweezing is great to be able to space out your appointments longer and to save yourself money in the long run.
Really nice tweezers can be pretty expensive, but I’ve found these Tweezerman Slant Tweezers work really well for bushy brows. If you get the pointy Tweezerman tweezers, just be careful… they are so pointy I don’t use them anymore. But they are more precise if that’s what you’re looking for! The slant ones have great accuracy and it’s harder to poke yourself, which is perfect if you’re clumsy like me.
Trimming Eyebrows With Clippers
This might sound scary if you’ve never tried it, but trimming eyebrows with clippers is a game changer. The first time I trimmed mine, I was literally sweating I was so nervous about messing up. I probably spent an hour watching YouTube videos on ”how to trim your brows” before I even started because I had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t even know trimming your eyebrows was a thing until I saw one of my friends doing it in high school.
If you want to learn how to tame eyebrows naturally, your best bet is to keep them at a manageable length. Trimming your eyebrows can definitely be tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it you’ll be hooked. I used to get so annoyed that my spiky brows were always growing in the wrong direction, but trimmed brows are definitely easier to handle. If you have naturally uneven brows, trimming your eyebrows is the best way to get them evenly shaped. Just don’t overdo it, obviously. This brow shaping set has just what you need to get perfectly shaped brows.

How To Tame Eyebrows That Stick Out
I used to always wonder how to tame eyebrows that stick out. I mean seriously, when your eyebrows won’t lay flat and are sticking straight up all in different directions, it can make you feel like you just don’t have good eyebrows. But really, you just need to find the right things that help you tame those coarse spiky eyebrow hairs that seem to always stick out.
Get Eyebrows To Lay Flat
Eyebrow gel is the quickest way to get eyebrows to lay flat and prevent them from sticking out. Especially if you have bushy brows, having a good brow gel that can keep them in check does wonders. I mean is it just me or can your eyebrows really pull together a look…?
If you’re struggling to wrangle in your crazy eyebrows, a stronger holding eyebrow gel like the Anastasia Brow Freeze will be your best friend. It will last you all day and all night to tame those eyebrows that stick out.
Soften Wiry Eyebrows
The best-kept secret to taming unruly eyebrows is to soften wiry eyebrows by hydrating them overnight. The coarser your eyebrow hairs are, the more difficult they are to shape them how you want. So my favorite little trick to solve the never-ending struggle of taming wirey eyebrows is to coat them with Aquaphor and let it soak in overnight.
You can also use argan or castor oil if Aquaphor feels too heavy! But the softer you can get your eyebrows, the easier it’ll be to wrangle in those eyebrows growing in the wrong direction.
